Internship Evidence
I commenced a Marketing internship with Pialligo Estate who are owned by Create Catering, where I worked alongside Pialligo's Marketing Manager Ella. She is also an undergraduate studying Marketing Communications. Which gave our relationship an interesting dynamic, we worked well together as we had the same goals and she also undertook Practical Internships with UC, resulting in her understanding the process. I was given the role to help assist with creating marketing and campaign content over the various different venues that Create Catering own, such as Pialligo Estate, Pan Divino, Mumm Champagne Bar and Gundaroo Inn. I also assisted with shoot days and events at Pialligo Estate, including food shoots and brand collaboration events. My hours differed, I would roughly come in once a fortnight but did a lot of work from home and had online contact with Ella, over a 10 week period. My overall experience was educational of the overall demand for marketing content in a hospitality industry, especially understanding the different demands and branding from the different venues as each of them have different target audiences and brand identities. I believed it to give me a larger understanding of how to tailor to different target audiences wants coming from a brand. The internship helped me explore and expand my creative and communicational skills in a landscape of marketing I was not familiar in.
